This message comes from Josh Boyajian:
"Today, April 26th, 2016, I went to check out a fire scene on the 22nd Battalion side of town. It was located at 254 West 118th Street. The building they were dealing with was a three-story ordinary structure that had taken quite a bit of damage from the fire, especially through the roof. The firefighting efforts seemed to be going well as the companies present were using two master streams and two handlines for a more defensive approach. By the time I arrived, much of the fire had already been brought under control, but I still managed to get some good shots.
Here's what it looked like when I got there. The firefighters were still working diligently to ensure everything was secure and there wouldn't be any flare-ups. As you can see from the images I took, the scene was intense but well-managed by the Chicago Fire Department. These photos capture the hard work and dedication of the firefighters who were on the scene today.
