Just saw this update from the Interstate Emergency Vehicles Facebook page! It looks like the Peotone Fire Protection District's new Stainless Steel-bodied pumper/tanker is really coming along nicely. The 2,000-gallon-per-minute Hale pump module is almost done with its UL testing and certification, which is set to wrap up by May 31st. Super impressive stuff—this rig is going to be a workhorse for sure. I’ve been following this build closely since I first heard about it. There are some great behind-the-scenes photos that really show the attention to detail that goes into building these vehicles. The craftsmanship is top-notch, especially considering how many custom options they've chosen. Here are a few shots of the truck during different stages of construction. You can really see the progress they’ve made over the last couple of months. It’s exciting to think about how this will enhance their firefighting capabilities once it’s fully operational. [Insert image captions] I’m personally blown away by how far they’ve come in such a short time. This is one of those builds that makes you appreciate just how much effort goes into creating modern fire apparatus. Can’t wait to hear more updates as they finalize everything. Props to the team at Interstate for keeping us in the loop!
