The hot water calorie measurement standard set up by this project is obviously higher than the existing domestic devices in terms of accuracy, stability and reliability, and solves the problems of lack of detection means of heat meters and scientific methods of detection methods.

The heat meter is a measuring instrument installed in the heating circuit to measure heat supply. Compared with the previous method of calculating the heating price according to the area of ​​the house, using the heat meter as a charging basis is more energy-efficient and scientific. However, the time for hot water heat metering in China is short and faces various problems.

In response to these problems, China Metrology Institute cooperated with Beijing Thermal Power Group and other units to jointly establish a standard device for large-caliber, high-precision primary-grade hot water flow and a new standard device for measuring temperature and temperature difference, and developed a heat meter interface form and communication protocol. The development of the heat meter infrared reading system was completed for the use of a heat meter standard device. In addition, it also revised the heat meter verification procedures and type evaluation program, and improved the hot water calorie quantity traceability system.
