**Public Company Information:** NASDAQ: ADSK **BANGKOK, May 25, 2016** – The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Technology and Autodesk, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to boost Thailand’s manufacturing competitiveness through the adoption of advanced 3D technologies and digital manufacturing solutions. This partnership aims to support Thailand’s transition toward a more innovative and technology-driven economy. Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj, Minister of Science and Technology, emphasized that Thailand must evolve from a "Thailand 3.0" model to a "Thailand 4.0" strategy to move from a middle-income to a high-income country. “This shift is crucial for transitioning from an economy based on performance to one driven by innovation,” he said. “Industry 4.0 technologies will play a key role in this transformation, enabling manufacturers to better align with consumer needs and reducing the reliance on large-scale production.” The MOU also highlights the importance of equipping local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with digital tools and training. By leveraging Autodesk’s software solutions, Thai professionals can enhance their design and manufacturing capabilities, supporting the government’s broader goals in sectors like biotechnology, renewable energy, and the creative economy. A central part of the initiative is the establishment of a **Digital Manufacturing Platform**, which will provide up to 100,000 engineers and vocational professionals across Thailand with access to Autodesk’s 3D design, simulation, and collaboration tools for three years. This platform is aligned with the National Digital Economy Master Plan and aims to foster innovation, connectivity, and efficiency in the manufacturing sector. Dr. Thaweesak Koanantakool, President of NSTDA, noted that digital manufacturing technologies are essential for Thailand to remain competitive. “By empowering local companies with these tools, we can accelerate innovation and help them meet global standards,” he added. Key components of the platform include **Fusion 360** and **A360 Team**, which integrate design, engineering, and collaboration into a single cloud-based system. These tools allow teams to work seamlessly, regardless of location, and ensure real-time project tracking and communication. Mr. Rama Tiwari, Regional Director of Sales at Autodesk ASEAN, highlighted how emerging technologies such as IoT, augmented reality, and additive manufacturing are reshaping the industry. “This platform gives Thai talent and businesses the tools they need to transform every stage of the manufacturing process and position Thailand as a leader in the future of making things,” he said. Beyond the Digital Manufacturing Platform, NSTDA and Autodesk are also working together on joint research projects and smart city initiatives, further strengthening Thailand’s technological infrastructure. **About NSTDA** Established in 1991 under the Science and Technology Development Act, the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) oversees four national technology centers and the Technology Management Center.
