Here are some helpful tips and tricks on how to install a bottom screw-in tap!
If you're having trouble following the steps below, don't worry — we've got you covered.
Tools we use:
To start the installation process, turn the drum so that the bottom bung is facing up. This is crucial to avoid spilling any liquid during the procedure. Once the bung is positioned correctly, use the end of the drum spanner to twist it open. Once it's open, you'll see a piece of plastic behind it — this is there to prevent leaks during transportation. (refer to pic 1)
After removing the bottom bung, use a knife to cut a square in the drum. The center of the drum is the hardest part to cut, so we recommend cutting a square shape for easier access. (refer to pic 2)
Once you’ve cut through most of the way, use the flathead screwdriver to push the edges inward. When three sides are open, you can push the remaining side into the drum. (refer to pic 3)
Once there’s a hole in the drum, you’re ready to install the bottom screw-in tap. (refer to pic 4)
