How to check for faults with flammable gas alarms
1. No flammable gas alarm display
Cause analysis: The power supply voltage is abnormal; the meter head is in water; the circuit board is faulty.
Solution: Detect insurance, wiring; clean the board and dry it, and replace the board if necessary.
2, flammable gas alarm concentration indication does not return to zero
Cause analysis: zero drift; the probe shield has residual flammable gas; the alarm probe or meter is aging.
Solution: Calibrate the zero point under clean air; remove the probe cover, clean the probe dust; replace the probe or instrument.
3, the measured concentration shows a large deviation of the value
Analysis of the cause: The sample gas concentration does not meet the requirements at the time of calibration; the sensor range setting is incorrect; the sensor is aging.
Remedy: Recalibrate with qualified sample gas; reset sensor range; replace with new sensor.
Precautions during the use of flammable gas alarms
1. The installation position, installation angle, protective measures and system wiring of the flammable gas alarm should be protected against electromagnetic interference; high temperature, humidity, rain and other environments should be avoided.
2. Select a suitable position according to the density of the combustible gas to install a gas- fired alarm . The gas with a gas density lower than that of the air should be installed at a position about 1 m above the leak point; the gas with a density greater than the air, The probe should be installed below the leak point and approximately 0.5m above the ground; the gas to be measured with a density close to the air should be as close as possible to the leak. For example, where there is a hydrogen leak, the detector should be installed on the plane above the leak.
