The research results of the national "10th Five-Year" scientific and technological research projects jointly undertaken by East China University of Science and Technology and Qinghai Salt Lake Group---crystal coupling dehydration technology, the establishment of an annual production capacity of 1,500 tons of anhydrous magnesium chloride production unit, completed and successfully operated in Qinghai Salt Lake Group. This scientific research has filled the gap in the domestic anhydrous magnesium chloride industrial technology, marking an important step forward in the comprehensive utilization of the Qaidam Salt Lake resources.

The anhydrous magnesium chloride technology is a worldwide technical problem. It has puzzled China's magnesium industry for 30 years and is one of the key technologies for the comprehensive utilization of the Chaerhan Salt Lake resources in Qinghai. Anhydrous magnesium chloride is the main raw material for the production of magnesium metal. At the same time, it is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, construction, etc. The market potential is huge. Up to now, there is no large-scale production technology and process of dehydrated magnesium chloride in China.

After two years of repeated experiments, East China University of Science and Technology and Qinghai Salt Lake Group Corporation have overcome the difficulties of this technology and obtained national invention patents. The first set of anhydrous magnesium chloride industrial plants in China was built by Qinghai Salt Lake Group, Ningxia Kezhen Co., Ltd. and East China University of Science and Technology. The technology has the advantages of mild operating conditions, low pollution, simple process and low product cost.

It is reported that on the basis of the successful test of this device, the relevant units will start the construction project of an annual output of 100,000 tons of anhydrous magnesium chloride---2.5 million tons of magnesium metal plant as soon as possible, which will lay a solid foundation for the development of electrolytic magnesium smelting industry in China. Qinghai Salt Lake potash, non-ferrous metals, natural gas chemical industry chain is of great significance.

As one of the auxiliary heating devices for Air Conditioning system, it allows the air cooled packaged rooftop units to heat without running the refrigeration system or only with a part of it to achieve a high performance of energy-saving at lower ambient temperature in winter and to reduce massively the heating operating costs specially for where the natural gas is cheaper than electricity.

The gas heating modular use a safe and reliable atmospheric gas burner made of aluminized steel tube heat exchanger designed to offer maximum heat transfer and 92% efficiency (PCI%). It runs with natural gas in an operating range of 1.3-2.6KPa. The standard gas module offers 2 stages of control which helps in improving space comfort by avoiding large supply air temperature deviations. The airflow rate in the burner is controlled as the gas flow is being reduced maintaining the burner to its highest efficiency level.
