State Grid and Tesla formulate charging plug interface
The relevant departments of the State Grid and Tesla conducted several direct communication and exchanges, and the interface standards of the charging piles that have been approved by both parties have been initially drawn up. The integrated solution of municipal street lighting charging piles of the NARI Group, a unit of the State Grid, has negotiated cooperation with a number of cities. NARI Group’s 33.82%-owned Guodian NARI is also developing rapid charging piles.
At the 2014 International Clean Energy Expo held in Beijing on March 26th, NARI Group demonstrated the energy saving plan for the integration of municipal street lamp charging piles at the expo. This program rectifies the AC mains used by street lights to obtain DC power, which is a LED street light. And charging device power supply, replacing the traditional high-pressure sodium lamp with LED street lamp, no line modification can greatly save the distribution network capacity. In this way, charging poles can be installed on a certain percentage of street poles to provide charging services for electric vehicles, and street lamps and charging piles can be used for unified management of street lamps and charging piles.
The on-site sales personnel stated that NARI Group and its subsidiaries carried out research and development on various charging modes for charging pile equipment. At present, LED and charging pile integrated solutions have been discussed in several cities such as Changping and Baoji. According to the related sales personnel, Nanrui, a listed company under the NARI Group, is mainly engaged in the research and development of fast charging piles.
