Ningbo Port Economy Contrarian Growth

Under the macroeconomic situation in which the external economic environment is poor and domestic economic growth is weak, the Ningbo port economy has still achieved contrarian growth and leapfrog development. Among them, the growth of sea-rail combined transport has been particularly significant: in the first half of the year Ningbo Port sea-rail intermodal container reached 49,000 TEUs, an increase of 66.3% year-on-year, completed 61.8% of the annual target mission. Statistics show that in the first half of this year, Ningbo City expanded the number of sea-to-rail combined transport cities to 11, covering the provinces of Taizhou, Jinhua, Shaoxing, Ganzhou and Nanchang, Shangrao, Yingtan, Jingdezhen, Pingxiang, Xinyu and Xi’an. The Yingtan (Shangrao) trains carried out 73 classes in the first half of the year, with an average class size of 35 cars or more, a year-on-year increase of 20.7%. Taizhou Banlie began to work twice a day on January 1 this year. The volume of monthly containers was basically maintained at 3,000 TEUs, and the business volume increased steadily by 292.8% year-on-year. It successively connected with Anhui Fuyang Port and Handan Port Office, and Ningbo Port Group negotiated issues such as the sea-rail transport logistics program. The Shenyang-Shanghai Sea-rail combined transport business has already begun the preliminary preparation work for the source organization and will also promote the import and export business. The cargo supply organization of Bohai Rail Transportation Co., Ltd. took COSCO Freight as the main operation, and the port authorities of the two countries conducted connection and contact. In addition, in the Chengdu market, China Railway Group officially approved the Beilun Port Station as a loading and unloading organization station for Chengdu Chengxiang and Shanghai Nanxiang trains. The supply organization in the Chengdu market will also respect both domestic and foreign trade.
