At Autodesk, innovation is at the heart of everything we do. It's not just about creating groundbreaking technology—it's about building a workplace that empowers our people to think differently, collaborate boldly, and drive meaningful change. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to be named a **Best Workplace for Innovators** by *Fast Company* for the second year in a row.
This recognition reflects our commitment to fostering an environment where creativity thrives, and employees are given the tools, support, and freedom to explore new ideas. Whether it's through flexible work models, diversity initiatives, or community-driven programs, we're constantly reimagining what it means to be an innovative company.
Here's a closer look at some of the programs that make Autodesk stand out—and how they're shaping the future of work and innovation.

### **Workplace Innovator: Jenny Lum, Director of Global Projects**
**Program:** Embracing a hybrid-first workplace
“While many companies are pushing for a return to the office, Autodesk has taken a different approach. We introduced Flex Forward—a model that gives employees the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world where we operate. In-person meetings are still important, but they have to be meaningful—driving connection, collaboration, and real business impact.â€
**Our Innovation:**
Flex Forward isn’t just about remote work—it’s about redefining the office experience. Our spaces are now designed with choice in mind: quiet zones for deep focus, collaborative hubs for brainstorming, and social areas to build community. We also launched the Autodesk Conference Experience (ACE), a concierge-style service that helps teams personalize their in-office events and team-building activities.
**Innovation Outcomes:**
Since launching Flex Forward, we've seen a significant increase in applications, especially from underrepresented groups. This approach is helping us attract and retain top talent while promoting a culture of inclusion and innovation.

### **DEI Innovator: Ramona Blake, Senior Director of Diversity & Belonging**
**Program:** Diversifying leadership development
“At Autodesk, we know that attracting diverse talent is only part of the equation. We also need to develop leaders who reflect the communities we serve. That’s why we created the NEXT LEVEL program—an initiative focused on coaching and mentoring underrepresented employees of color to prepare them for senior roles.â€
**Our Innovation:**
The program includes one-on-one leadership coaching, mentorship, and a capstone project called “Innovation Idol.†Participants work in teams to develop and pitch ML-based solutions for real-world challenges.
**Innovation Outcomes:**
Not only did the program provide hands-on experience with emerging technologies, but it also helped participants build confidence and skills that will support their long-term growth. These individuals are now positioned to lead future innovations at Autodesk.

### **Impact Innovator: Christine Stoner, Executive Director of the Autodesk Foundation**
**Program:** Democratizing employee-led grantmaking
“Empowering our employees to give back is a powerful way to drive impact. The Autodesk Foundation partnered with our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to launch a pilot program that gave them $140,000 in unrestricted funding to support nonprofits of their choice.â€
**Our Innovation:**
We provided ERG leaders with training on strategic grantmaking, including how to define impact goals, conduct due diligence, and engage communities in the decision-making process.
**Innovation Outcomes:**
The results were incredible. The Latinx Network funded LatinaGeeks, while the Black Network and Young Professionals Network supported Techbridge Girls. These grants are helping to inspire the next generation of leaders in STEM.
