The R&D center at Kyiv Polytechnic University, in collaboration with Delfast, has developed a new “universal” electric bike. This project, which took about six months of intensive work, is now ready to be shared with the public. The bike was created by students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Delfast engineers, who worked closely together to bring this innovative concept to life.

This e-bike is designed for everyday use, catering to people of all ages and physical conditions. Thanks to its powerful electric motor, it makes riding easier and more comfortable. According to Serhii Goncharov, Delfast’s Chief Engineer, the bike is ideal for family trips, city commutes, and even cargo transportation. Its main goal is to provide a balanced experience—offering both pedaling and electric assistance without causing fatigue or shortness of breath.

“This model stands out for its reliability, long range, and simple, user-friendly design,” says Goncharov. “It’s a real game-changer.”

The bike also features smart technology, including an all-wheel drive system with intelligent control. Based on factors like load, terrain, wheel speed, and angle, the bike automatically adjusts torque distribution between the wheels, enhancing performance and stability.

Powered by a 48V30A battery and a 750W gear motor, the e-bike can reach a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph). Delfast is currently evaluating whether to include this model in its regular production line.
