The R&D center at Kyiv Polytechnic University has unveiled a new "universal" electric bike model in collaboration with Delfast. Over the past six months, students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Delfast engineers have been working together to develop this innovative e-bike, which is now ready for public release.

This new electric bike is designed for everyday use by people of all ages and physical conditions. It features an electric motor that makes riding easier and more comfortable. According to Serhii Goncharov, Delfast's Chief Engineer, the e-bike is ideal for family trips, city commutes, and even cargo transport. The main goal of this hybrid model is to meet daily needs without causing fatigue or shortness of breath, offering both pedaling and electric assistance seamlessly.

"This model is great for several reasons: high reliability, long range, and maximum simplicity and accessibility," says Goncharov. The team also made the e-bike smart by integrating all-wheel drive with intelligent control. This system automatically adjusts torque distribution between wheels based on load, terrain, and speed, ensuring optimal performance in various conditions.

The e-bike is equipped with a 48V30A battery and a 750W gear motor, capable of reaching a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph). Delfast is currently evaluating whether to include this model in its regular production line.
