However, the initial pesticide residue detection technology was limited to chemical, colorimetric and bioassay methods. The detection method lacks specificity and the sensitivity is not high. In the 1960s, gas chromatography was applied to the analysis of pesticides and drug residues, which greatly improved the detection level of pesticides and drug residues. Since the 1980s, high performance liquid chromatography has begun to be widely used for the analysis of heat-labile and ionic pesticides and their metabolites. Although the chromatographic method is accurate and highly sensitive, the equipment required is expensive, requires professional operation, and has a long analysis time, which is not conducive to on-site monitoring.

In recent years, the application of electrochemical biosensors to the monitoring of pesticide residues has attracted widespread attention. Compared with traditional HPLC, gas chromatography and other laboratory testing methods, electrochemical biosensors have the advantages of rapid detection and easy operation. , Low cost, high sensitivity, etc.; and after the miniaturization of the modified biosensor production of pesticide residue detector is easy to carry, convenient for field testing in the outdoors.

After the pesticide residue detector has been designed, it can detect that organic phosphorus and carbamate pesticides can inhibit the normal function of cholinesterase under certain conditions, and the inhibition rate is in a positive relationship with the concentration of pesticides. Under normal conditions, the enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of the metabolite (acetylcholine), a neurotransmitter, and the hydrolysate reacts with the chromogenic reagent to produce a yellow substance. The pesticide absorbance tester measures the change in absorbance over time and calculates the inhibition rate. The inhibition rate can be judged. Whether the sample contains organic phosphorus or carbamate pesticides.
