Hey there! I just got some exciting updates from Larry Shapiro regarding the new fire engine arriving in Waukegan. The city's Engine 1, a 2016 Seagrave Marauder II with a 1500/750 pump configuration, is finally set to hit the streets in the next few weeks. This beast of a machine has been eagerly awaited by the department, and it’s great to see it finally making its way into service. I’ve had the chance to snap a few shots of this beauty while it was being prepped. As you can see from the photos below, this rig is nothing short of impressive. From the sleek design to the powerful engine, it’s clear that the folks at Seagrave have outdone themselves. Take a look at these images—each one captures different angles and details of the vehicle. You’ll notice the iconic Seagrave logo emblazoned on the side, which adds that classic touch of tradition mixed with modern innovation. And if you’re curious about what else the station has in its fleet, check out the shot of multiple Seagrave trucks parked inside their bay. It’s a testament to the trust placed in these machines by firefighters across the country. If you want to see more of these fantastic photos, head over to shapirophotography.net. Larry always manages to capture those little details that make each piece of equipment unique. I’m personally looking forward to seeing how this new addition performs once it’s fully operational. Stay tuned for more updates as they come!
