According to the data reported by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on the production enterprises of commercial vehicles (passenger parts), in August, the performance of the passenger car market was significantly better than that of the previous month, showing a certain growth year-on-month and year-on-year. From January to August, passenger car sales increased by 4.42% year-on-year, slightly higher than the previous July.
Large and medium bus production and sales growth faster
In August, buses sold 43,000 vehicles, an increase of 8.43% compared with the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 6.08%. The sales rate was 102.35%, which was higher than that of last month. Among the main varieties of passenger cars, compared with the previous month, the growth rate of large and medium-sized passenger cars was faster, while the growth rate of light passenger cars was slightly lower. Compared with the same period of last year, the three major categories of products maintained a steady growth. In August, the sales of large passenger cars totaled 0.89 million, an increase of 17.58% compared with the previous period, a year-on-year increase of 6.65%, and the sales ratio was 111.46%. The sales of medium-sized passenger cars were 0.86 million, an increase of 16.88%, and an increase of 2.26% year-on-year.
