Beijing Construction Machinery Factory launched the new tower crane QTZl60

Recently, in order to better adapt to the evolving market and meet the diverse needs of customers, the technical engineering department at Beijing Construction Engineering Machinery Factory has developed a new tower crane model, QTZl60, following over three months of intensive research and development. This advanced tower crane features a 60-meter boom arm, with an arm tip load capacity of 2 tons and a rated lifting torque of 160 ton-meters. The hoisting mechanism now employs a two-speed winding motor controlled by a PLC programmable controller, offering improved control accuracy and enhanced reliability compared to the previous RCS system. The slewing mechanism utilizes a torque motor, which significantly reduces failure rates when compared to the traditional electromagnetic coupling design used in earlier models. Additionally, the trolley system incorporates frequency conversion technology, ensuring smoother and more stable operation during use. One of the most notable improvements is the extended working coverage, making it ideal for mid-rise construction projects where greater reach and flexibility are required. According to the latest updates, the design of the QTZl60 has been finalized, including full-scale structural calculations, main load-bearing steel structure analysis, tooling design, and process estimation. All preparatory work for trial production is currently in progress, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing efforts to innovate and deliver high-quality construction equipment. This new model is expected to play a key role in meeting the growing demand for efficient and reliable tower cranes in the construction industry.
