Di Fronzo Leaving Autodesk; Will Retire in December 2021

SAN FRANCISCO, May 27, 2021 — Autodesk, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADSK) has announced the upcoming retirement of Pascal W. Di Fronzo, executive vice president of corporate affairs and chief legal officer, after a remarkable 23-year tenure with the company. His leadership and strategic guidance have played a key role in shaping Autodesk’s growth and success over the years.

"Pascal has been an invaluable advisor and a strong advocate for both Autodesk and our customers," said Andrew Anagnost, president and CEO of Autodesk. "His contributions have had a lasting impact on the company, and I want to personally thank him for his dedication and service. We wish him all the best in his next chapter."

Di Fronzo joined Autodesk in 1998 and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming general counsel in 2006. In that role, he oversaw all legal operations, advised the CEO and Board of Directors, led government relations and public policy initiatives, and managed corporate development efforts. His work earned him recognition, including the Legends in Law Award from the Burton Awards for Legal Achievement, which honors outstanding corporate general counsels.

"Autodesk has been one of the highlights of my career," said Di Fronzo. "I've truly enjoyed working alongside such a talented and passionate team, and I'm proud of what we've accomplished together. I'm excited to see where the company goes from here."

Di Fronzo will continue in his current role until December 2021. Autodesk is now beginning the process of identifying a successor to lead the legal team as he transitions out of the position.

As the world continues to evolve, so does Autodesk. With a focus on innovation and creativity, the company remains at the forefront of design and engineering software. The departure of a long-time leader like Di Fronzo marks the end of an era, but also the start of new opportunities for growth and transformation.

Co-kneader

Lab scale Co-kneader
Unique Working Principle
The optimization of production technology is the main goal of all companies. The main reason of this process is increasing production quality, capacity and decreasing the cost. In same cases of lab compounding, there is some limitation for temperature sensitive and shearing sensitive application due to extremely high shear rate of co-rotating Twin Screw Extruder. In such case, the priority shall be given to the Co-kneader. Co-kneader has low intensive mixing properties but without any pressure and temperature peak compared to co-rotating twin screw extruder. Also Co-kneader has stable shear rate independent on screw size. This is very useful for up scaling from laboratory data.

The barrel and screw could also be segmented according to application. The optimization of screw configuration is also needed. Too much kneading elements rapidly increase stock temperature; on the other side too less kneading element is not enough for high quality kneading. The co-kneader use many types of screw elements; basically fast and slow conveying, short kneading and kneading elements for restriction ring. Additionally elements with increased core diameter, kneading element with backward flowing characteristic and others are also usable. The restriction ring is special bore element with lower core diameter which increase melt pressure for high quality mixing. The diameter of restriction ring also need to be optimized for reducing shear rate and stock temperature.
