"Upon our arrival, both the first and second floors were heavily involved in the fire, and it had spread all the way to the roof. There were no nearby hydrants, so we used portable tanks to manage the situation. Once we received additional support, we were able to maintain a steady water supply. The homeowner was reportedly cooking on the back porch when something went wrong with the propane tank.

Attached are some photos taken by Scott Peterson showing the extent of the damage caused by the fire in Wadsworth, Illinois. As you can see, the house has been almost completely gutted. This must have been quite a challenge for the firefighters who responded.

The situation looked dire, but thanks to the quick response and resourcefulness of the firefighting team, they managed to contain the blaze before it could cause further damage. It’s always a reminder of how important it is to be cautious with open flames and gas appliances like propane tanks.
