Xi'an Jiaotong University screw compressor technology transfer at home and abroad

The "screw compressor design theory, key technologies and series product development" project completed by Xi'an Jiaotong University and Yantai Ice Wheels Co., Ltd. won not only the second-class National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2006, but also its key technologies and software have been transferred at home and abroad. More than 20 companies have achieved good results.

The project accurately revealed the inherent laws between the thermal performance of the screw compressor and the design parameters such as the rotor profile and formed a complete design theory for the screw compressor. Proposed and conquered several key technologies such as the design method of rotor profile, cutter edge design technology of machining rotor, and developed the design and calculation software of screw compressor. The project received a total of 12 patent authorizations and 1 software copyright. Also cooperated with well-known enterprises in the industry, developed a series of screw compressor products, generally saving 5% to 8%, noise reduction 5 to 10 decibels. Experts and industry experts believe that this achievement solves the common problems in the industry and has a significant role in promoting the technological progress and optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure of the compressor and refrigeration and air-conditioning industries in China.
